It was plagued with bad decisions since day one I’m not blaming Gaga for this though, we know the label was f*cking her and this album around. Donatellah 1,886 Posted August 15, 2022 Share Posted August 15, 2022 Tbh, every leaked demo of each ARTPOP tracks has its interesting or better features, but so do the final versions. It's almost a 50/50 lmao. For example: 1. The truculent vocals of Aura demo are awesome and match better with the aggressive production of the verses, but the leaked file is awfully LQ and the instrumental is barely listenable on the verses 2. Sexxx Dreams demo sounds very unfinished whereas the final has better vocals & mixing (obviously), ans I still don't get how people believe the demo is 100% better when it isn't. It has interesting features that I wish could've been kept in the final, such as the 80s synth and perhaps the initial speed, but the album version is absolutely fine. Both bridges are nice to me as well but the original one is perhaps more catchy. It was a mistake from Gaga to perform the demo, though 3. Some lyrics of the first MANiCURE demo are hilarious and iconic but she would've gotten DRAGGED if they were kept tbh. They're lowkey giving Donatella vibes but wilder. Anyway, the original chorus is honestly more catchy and better, so I don't really enjoy the final version that much. The longer instrumental intro is entertaining as well. I think the demo is better, though the angry final vocals slay 4. Anyone who thinks that the "do ya juguha laina wahnawah, is dis laiwa is it wang is it laun" demos of Applause are better should honestly have no opinions on music 5. The post-chorus of Fashion NEEDED to be kept and it's absolutely sad it was scrapped. Could've been made the song iconic 6.
