FfFfFfFF 58,120
Former Russian Deputy Mark Feygin gave an exclusive interview to TVR Moldova, in which he talked about Moscow's ambition in Moldova and its relation with Romania. He said that if things in Ukraine had gone according to the "plan", the Republic of Moldova was in great danger. His inverview touched on various points. ● Russia's interest in Moldova Spoiler Russia is interested in the Republic of Moldova and this interest is permanent, could only be changed if those in Moscow do not give up their imperial ambitions, The Republic of Moldova is at the center of Russian interests because you represent the gateway of the former USSR to Europe in the southeast direction. ● Moldova and Romania Spoiler In addition, imperial Moscow cannot forget the fact that the Republic of Moldova was part of Romania and all these topics related to Bessarabia by this dispersed people. In general the dispersal of peoples was one of the favorite tricks of imperial Moscow, when was it otherwise? It's always been that way. This trick also happened in Ukraine when those who speak Russian and those who prefer Ukrainian were divided according to language criteria. ● Russia saw Moldova as ''a problem already solved'' Spoiler I am sure that the Republic of Moldova would have fallen under the tracks of Russian tanks next if Ukraine did not resist. If their plan with Ukraine had succeeded, Chisinau would have fallen, and not because the Moldavians cannot fight, but for the simple reason that you are fewer, the geographical, geopolitical situation does not allow you to oppose in the long term. Maybe Romania would have gotten involved, maybe they would have given NATO help, this is another question that remains theoretical, but Moldova was considered a problem already solved for Russia if Ukraine had fallen. ● Solution to the Transnistria problem Spoiler Everything is very simple, the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Transnistrian region and the problem disappears by itself. And not necessarily in a military way. The withdrawal of Russian troops from this region will lead to the disappearance of obstacles to negotiations. The main obstacle is the presence of a third state in this conflict, the presence of Russia. If the Republic of Moldova has the Euro-Atlantic vector and if it has prospects, then the Transnistrian problem can be solved very easily within these structures (no Euro-Atlantic structures) because in the conditions in which there would be no Russian propaganda and military presence, I believe that the population of the region Transnistrians would choose the pro-European vector. I personally believe that it is in the interest of the population of the Transnistrian region, for the Gagauz, for the Russians, a Moldova within the EU, because within the European Union they will have the guarantee of all rights and they understand this. ● Moldova and the EU Spoiler At the moment there is no alternative to the European project. There was an alternative, the socialist bloc, and those who wanted to leave this bloc received tanks in the streets, remember Budapest 1956 or Prague 1968. In the EU, things are different, if someone wants to leave this project, it is easy, see the example of Great Britain who wanted out of the EU, and they did, we didn't see tanks in the streets or planes bombing. For the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, for the population of these countries regardless of ethnicity, they must move away from Moscow as much and as quickly as possible. We have the example of the Baltic countries who understood this and moved away from Moscow and trained in the European project and only had to win. These peoples, if we compare them with the others that came out of the USSR, are flourishing today. Compare the same Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland with the former Soviet republics, they are flourishing. The only chance for the Republic of Moldova is to join the EU and run as far as possible from imperialist Moscow, to escape its influence and military presence, this is the guarantee that it will keep its independence and sovereignty. ● The necessity of Moldova's integration with Romania Spoiler The Republic of Moldova must move towards Romania. Romania must guarantee the security of the Republic of Moldova, even in military terms, considering the openness of the Iohannis administration and the government in Bucharest. This needs to be moved faster at the moment. At the same time, the army must be modernized, even a small army, but it must be well equipped with the help of Romania and NATO. The country cannot exist without an army, and those who say that if we cannot have a large army there is no point in investing in it is a big mistake. At the same time, the geopolitical vector for Chisinau can be only one, integration into the Euro-Atlantic structures. The Republic of Moldova has a very strong lobbyist in the person of Bucharest, and in no case should it give up its close connection with it. The voices that say that the Republic of Moldova can lose its elements of sovereignty by integrating with Romania are saying a lot of nonsense, in fact giving up this idea means giving up the pro-Western vector. We don't know how the future will be, will the two countries unite or not. Today, any citizen of the Republic of Moldova has the right to a Romanian passport.
