MOT 2,764
People who start with a huge advantage have to work twice as hard as people who don't start with a huge advantage ? Ehh .... no, they don't. It has to do with the words 'huge advantage', and what they actually mean.
BleepBloop 10,316
Work twice as hard -to be taken seriously and stop getting accused of nepotism, is that what she meant?
RahrahWitch 6,977
Typical rich people delusion Their idea of 'work' is entirely different from everyone else, They never have to worry about the financial aspect of literally anything. Nepotism babies don't have to work for anything. If you've got rich and famous parents then 90% of the work in anything you do is already done. You've instantly got connections in the industry and a safety net so big no failure is going to impact you.

I'm not a fan of these people, I don't respect them, I don't really think about them, we all know talent didn't get you here. IMO there's nothing wrong with wanting to continue in the family business that you learned from your parents. Many people in all walks of life do that. Historically, most people. But yes, it is (in this case) a position of privilege.
MACATL 1,115
There’s some truth to what she’s saying (just ask Janet Jackson), but it certainly comes off a little cringy.
