Vincem 380
I was not sure after my first listening. I'm now officially obsessed. I love when music takes time to tame. It means they didn't go the easy way. This is pure gay serve. Feeling expensive and fabulous listening to it.
VasilisVas 5,013
Sasha fierce continues to remain my favorite Beyoncé album.
Guest
Im listening to the album now, why are the lyrics cringy? If i was her id use alien superstar as the lead single even tho everything so far sounds so 2014, regurgitating the idea of Flawless album
Charmz 3,957
I listened to the album, and I’m not into it. I think I’m maybe just in a phase of my life where marketing like this seems like she (or her label?) is trying way too hard. just my personal thoughts- ❌ A lot of it doesn’t sound fresh, (like I’m accustomed to with Beyoncé). Like, it sounds like a try hard attempt at genre mixing and it’s lyrics are simple. Example: “never met a girl with a mind like this, at a time like this” really reminds me of Gwen Stefani’s “Yummy” from her Sweet Escape album. ❌ Lyric bait and switch on “AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM” - could really have used a title like this to be an anthemic battle cry to the unrest we are experiencing. Instead, some of the lyrics include “Know the booty gon do what it want to” 🤷♂️ Huh? Is it supposed to be ironic? ❌ Apple Music is how I am listening to the album. It doesn’t have credits listed (usually Apple Music has credits for most current albums). There is a lot of controversy brewing on Reddit, twitter, podcasts and YouTube about the artistic credits on this album. Not just Kelis. Tommie Sunshine on Insta or Twitter started a good conversation about this. I understand that not every artist owns the rights to their songs, but something doesn’t feel right here. Was the proper clearance made? Are production credits listed correctly? Lots of doubts from fans of house music online currently. ❌ No music videos and people calling it revolutionary? I know we don’t live in a TRL/MTV world anymore, but let’s not call this revolutionary. At worst it’s lazy, at best it’s a foolhardy attempt to try to make people believe that Beyoncé is “going against the traditions of pop music and is a visionary”. No girl, no. You just don’t wanna do videos, and that’s cool. But you don’t get to be a visionary because you omitted what has been an important piece of fan interaction and marketing since before the 1980’s. I can't tell if I like the album but I'm listening on a speaker system with the subwoofer off and I'll probably like it lots better with headphones. I can see what others are saying about the lyrics being a little hard to relate to but the production is great. I think it's more Ballroom than Drag Race tbh. There is a sound in ballroom or vogue music that you can hear in some of the tracks. You can also hear some voices in the background that are reminiscent of the emcee's commentary. Jpanese 219
Pure / Honey deserves the single treatment with an epic video. And Super Renaissance is fire too 🔥

Eido 3,648
That album is not my cup of tea except for two songs But I am glad most people seem to be enjoying it
MajorMinus 163
A bit disappointing on first listen, but I’ll have to give it a few more listens before I cast a final verdict. I really appreciated the seamless transition from Energy into Break My Soul!! Cuff It was also pretty solid. Looking forward to see what flavor the (eventual) visuals will add. Cody James 1,472
I feel like I’m That Girl should he swapped with Summer Renaissance. I’m That Girl almost feels like a song from on of the last two albums, not bad, but not dance related.
