Sonically, What is LG7 Going to Be?

Back in the day Gaga once said she plans for her next three albums and their ideas of what they’ll look like visually, sonically, thematically.

Rumour has it she scrapped the original LG5 for Joanne- which she’s always wanted to do. It came at a perfect time as stripped back albums became the sound shortly after, with examples like Younger Now and Man of the Woods.

Bobby Campbell says they always have the ear to the ground and strike when the time is right. With Chromatica, they hit the 90’s house sound before Drake and Beyoncé.

LG7 may be a ways away with potential Vegas shows, acting roles, personal ambition’s with family, etc. But pop music landscape changes all the time, and Lady Gaga makes herself apart of it and molds her way into the current zeitgeist.

That new sound is coming, and Gaga will strike while the iron is hot. The question is, what will that sound be? We won’t know for certain, and we can only predict. But underground music is sizzling to the surface to popularity, how will Gaga hit next?

I hope for a disco album, or I see her doing something more indie..

Speaking of original lg5, I know we don't REALLY know any proper details about it and what it was intended to sound and look like, but I feel like the Chromatica Ball aesthetics and visuals are what we would've gotten in the original lg5 concept era. That vampirish, brutalist, industrial, kinda gothic, countess vibe.

If Chromatica was ARTPOP's little sister, we need a little sister for Born This Way.

A pop/rock album incorporating a broader range of musical genres such as opera, heavy metal, rock and roll, Europop, synth pop, electro-industrial, and disco.

An album inspired by 70s-80s artists such as Blondie (song example: Hear of Glass), Michael Jackson (song example: Beat It), Cyndi Lauper (Girls Just Want To Have Fun), Metallica (Nothing Else Matters) and Led Zeppelin (Stairway to Heaven) and Heart (Barracuda).

I would really love to hear instruments such as organ, electric guitar and saxophone once more.

Edit: And songs that last over 4 minutes!

OT: I cannot predict what Gaga will do next. Will it be more commercial? Will it be more experimental? Will it be within the realm of pop or will she do another jazz record?

Whatever it is, I would like to see her work with different producers. No shade whatsoever, but I would love to hear some fresh sounds from Gaga and I think that can be done by working with new people.

I'd love something electronic and ambient and kinda hyperpop-esque.

But I'd also love something kinda funky and disco-ish (in a sense, going back to her Fame roots)

I'd also love to see Gaga do an original jazz record, as in not covers. It would be really interesting to hear!! She could completely make it her own (a la Amy Winehouse).

I'd die to see a glam rock record from her too.

The truth is, knowing Gaga and her many musical talents, the limits are boundless.

I need a song inspired by Space Oddity from David Bowie! I really loved Gaga's Bowie Tribute but especially Space Oddity was amazing.

I mean, she kind of played with disco sounds on Chromatica with Replay. Dua Lipa hit the disco sound already, and ABBA is super popular now. I can’t see her going that direction unless her new album drops very soon.

Indie sounds could be interesting.. Which kind of sound were you thinking? I feel Joanne may have been her “indie” sound.
