The song is a lot of fun, really catchy, and soundtracks one of the film’s standout scenes. It makes sense why it’s outperforming HMH. Good for them tbh!

It’s not going to repeak in the US. Radio was keeping it afloat and it’s no longer charting on Pop and about to leave the top 40 on HAC. It’s initial run was promising, but it’s a ballad and it’s summer

just think that she will be closing every night with HMH in front of thousands of people

i can see it at least sneaking back in the top 30

STOKED for them. I believe this is their first US top 30 hit since I Lived in 2013. I bet they’re thrilled by the success of this song.

Its funny how the catchy part is the whistle when thats a sample, so they werent even original with the summer tune.

Still, its a cute bop

this is a little embarrassing but who cares? HMH is a classic and will stand the test of time, ME THINKS.

also, let's not forget! once Gaga takes the chromatica ball to the USA it will re-peak.

Usually for a song to be a classic it has to be a little more popular than this...

But nevertheless I love it a lot. I was disappointed it didn't do as well as I thought it would but I love it

Yeah the sample is very evident. Which is why I think it was planned to be the summer hit and HMH is planned to be the fall winter ballad for award season.

Honestly I don’t think they planned this song to be a hit, Ryan explained in an interview how nowadays TikTok, attachment to viral movie/tv scenes, etc. are the biggest deciding factor in what becomes a hit. And no matter how much promo an artist does, a lot of times it still ends up being out of the artist’s/label’s hands if something becomes a smash or not. Correct me if I’m wrong but the label didn’t put much into this song at all, they didn’t expect it to blow up, but it’s attached to an iconic scene in one of the biggest movies of all time so it gradually gained popularity that way.

well look what happened with "running up that hill" it took decades and now is one of the most popular songs in the world

i think the initial popularity doesn't predict the long term impact

but who knows, again, not every song of hers have to be a shallow either, is not realistic.
