My show was almost sold out (80%, about 50k people) and the tickets were the best selling thing in the country for weeks

James Gibson 3,438
Again, selling out doesn't mean theyre profiting out of it. Brazillian currency is really bad right now and our inflation doesn't seem to go away really soon. Many acts that are selling out here are still doing poor grosses that Gaga can outdo even in her struggling Houston and Arnhem dates. Since she's doing a very limited number of shows with high numbers it wouldn't be profitable for Live Nation to book few dates here with all the expenses that it takes to switch continents like that (where on Tokyo you get a much higher gross that justifies it). If she was doing a trillion dates like Coldplay maybe it would be good, but not the case here. Remember this tour is still testing waters of Gaga profitability as a stadium artist, so they're playing safe on not going to certain continents. And no it's not Gaga or Bobby's fault directly. It's Live Nation that manages and oversees which demands are worth investing based on the tour's purpose.
Reject False Icons 4,681
The BTWB performing badly in latam was a rumor spread by haters and mostly petty Madge’s fans with the dumb reductive feud, they posted photos of the stadiums just starting to get filled, or when people though the show was over, they were leaving and Gaga appeared to sang the encore sorry i had to laugh There’s still no valid reason why she couldn’t make just one date in Mexico City she’s so close to the Houston date like it’s much closer than even inside the US and don’t tell me they have low ticket prices, cause her and Madge always had the priciest tickets ever here, and the inflation is bad but very contained within the world context

Look at Coldplay 4 in Chile, 3 in Peru, 2 in Colombia, Rock in Rio + 8 shows in Brazil and 10 in Argentina, that's 28 shows for one leg of a tour, in South America, where economy is not our forte.
