I mean, asking him to hook her up with his costar was pretty much the kindergarten level of seduction, so I don't blame him for taking it as a joke. Sure, he shouldn't have posted a private convo, but I don't get how serious it all turned. Like, was her initial message really that serious? 

Then again I'm trying to put myself in her shoes, and if someone publicly outed me for lusting over Timothée Chalamet, for instance, I'd probably be a bit pissed. Or relieved, idk. At least the guy knows now, right? So if something must happen, it's more likely to happen now the info is out.

No her initial response wasn't that serious. She said he's young and does dumb stuff, that she doesn't think he really meant it like that, but that it'sembarassing and COULD be snake behavior because DMs are private. Overblown by media and social media into a situation that obviously makes them both uncomfortable.

I saw her video response and she did look pissed. It's not that cool to call someone else a snake, but that's her life, she's entitled to react however she wants to.

It was so beautifully done in the show and they really perfected the nuances of gay lives in the 80s. I felt very similar as a kid in the 90s. It was refreshing to see it done this way versus being awkwardly forced like the recent seasons of AHS, among others.
