I had another title in my mind, however it'd feel a bit clickbaity and obviously the BLM movement during 2020 was a very important issue that still goes on today

I'll probably get ripped apart for this but it saddens me that there are some so called Monsters who think she is a performing monkey in heels that they can demand things from. She's been nothing but good to us. God forbid she wants to take a second to focus on the issues shes passionate about. Doesnt mean shes abandoning us or doesnt love us anymore.

I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

Hahaha yeah life has been crazy busy. I was watching some old BTWB footage and it breaks my heart because you can just tell how stiff she is. She was hurting so bad but she tried to keep it hidden as best as she could. Even after her hip broke on stage, she tried her best to act like nothing was wrong because she loved us that god damn much. if that isnt love then idk what is

I think about this ALL the time. As someone who became a LM after Chromatic, I was shocked when I finally joined this site and stan twitter and discovered all the slander towards LG from fans for not promoting Chromatic. I see tweets from July 2020 of fans complaining that she already "forgot" the album and I am mortified. I remember watching LG from afar (wasn't a huge stan) during the BLM movement and thinking she was doing what every celebrity should be doing, also during the onset of COVID too. If she hadn't done that same amount of activism and continued to promote her album as if everything was fine then you all would have slandered her anyway. Her activism is what makes her who she is, and the reason so many people like myself were drawn to her in the first place. It's unfathomable to me that people drag her for it.

Thankfully there are plenty of grounded Monsters out there that understand and appreciate her :diane:

I'll never be able to forget her going down on that last date during Marry the Night, pulling the fans on stage close, then telling the rest of the audience to never forget her :bradley:

I agree with what you said, there definitely are priorities, BUT

The thing is, it's pretty safe to say BLM and Covid are not responsible for Chromatica's non-era. That makes no sense. There was almost nothing planned for the album, as you could see from day 1 when Stupid Love came out. She dropped her product and left, as she always does now when she doesn't have contractual obligations.

A Fried Egg

She wrote a dance album for the gays even after they psychologically scarred her forever during the ARTPOP era.

Umm the week after "Stupid Love" dropped is when the pandemic became global news though.

And she was originally supposed to have a Coachella/iheart radio set? But apparently that's "nothing"

I think her hardcore base (2008-2014) got way too accustomed to the idea of her parading around the globe in various outfits and performing on every other award show. It's lowkey insane to demand that much from a musician tbh.

I'm also a fan of artists who would drop 1 low budget visual a year and then dip, so when Chromatica came along it was such a treat especially since I became a fan with Joanne and never got to experience a pop saga by the Lady Gaga. I was genuinely satisfied. Sure, I think it could've been promoted a bit more the following year, but least we got the ultimate tour ahead! Grateful.
