pride is a peaceful protest but when people refuse to listen and stay ignorant, can you blame activists for feeling angry when famous people continue to be wilfully ignorant? 

when the peaceful option has been dismissed, other methods will be attempted

I have actually talked to trans people about our anger and how we should use it  (or not use it) but the thing is that most trans people understand the anger so they don’t judge it so easily.

I completely agree, the trans community should not be judged for expressing anger in these moments. The relationship between allies and the trans community isn’t perfect, and the irritation that you and others have expressed is valid. Most allies do mean well though, it’s just the timing of certain messages can be poor.

Oh, maturity, being kind, nice, blah blah. Always the same arguments. I simply don't care anymore, sis  I don't think problems such as transphobia and homophobia can be solved with being mature, having nice arguments, etc. I do think that they can be solved through violence and riots, though. 

Pride was a riot. Everything that ever had a concrete change on the status quo had to be done through violence. Not voting, and certainly not being nice.

I as a gay man don’t feel like I should take a strong stance on this, and I feel like I get both sides of the spectrum. 

A lot Biological Women feel as though trans people haven’t had to live a life of walking in the footsteps of a woman. They don’t know what it truly feels like to be a woman, to have the mental and physical struggle of menstral cycles, etc. I get that. 
 

Trans people have had their own struggle of feeling like they are a woman trapped in the wrong body. This must be torture for them, and I understand that too. 
 

There has to be some common ground for biological women who feel this way and transitioned  women to come to terms.

 

I personally, as a gay man  am not going to burn a woman at the stake for feeling that someone isn’t listening to her adversity, and I’m certainly not going to do that to a trans person either.

the anger is justified and valid it’s just misplaced sometimes. like we are all tired and crestfallen having to fight for the most basic of needs but we shouldn’t lash out @ the first person who doesn’t act in accordance to our mental, emotional and physical needs(referring to allies) like the people in this thread are on our side. they just have a diff perspective(from not being trans) on things so they can see the nuances to the situation that we might not b able to see when all we are trying to do is survive. uwu

Nice sentiment. As if that's all R*wling does. As if she doesn't have a MASSIVE influence over groups of people that could harm trans people. As if she's NOT insulting and belittling them at every turn and as if she's only "voicing concerns".  

Being the "middle ground" sort of person in this case only helps the oppressors, as I keep saying. But some of you, and I don't mean you specifically as I don't know you, are either living in an underground bunker with no connection to the outside world whatsoever, or are just straight up terfs who are afraid to admit that.

That’s not how this works. Because someone is able to see both sides of the spectrum, AND YOU DONT AGREE WITH IT, Does t mean they are a “terf”. Name calling, insinuating someone lives under a bunker, etc- because someone doesn’t see things exactly the way you do, only exposes your short mindedness and incabability to see opposing view points. You aren’t Interested in anyone’s opinion but your own, because In your mind, you are right. You aren’t Interested in conversation, because you have already made Up your mind.

I don't understand this argument. Trans women ARE women. Is the implication here that people born biologically female are real women, and everyone else isn't?

Just to add here. I, as a biological cis female, do not feel it’s a valid argument to say that a trans person doesn’t understand the struggles of being a biological female. Why does that even matter? Referring to someone as a birthing person instead of a woman in labor doesn’t change who I am. It’s not eliminating those “struggles.” This argument is dumb honestly. The whole argument that our womanhood is being taken away by trans people is just dumb. People don’t take my straightness away by being gay. I’m my own person and my personal struggles are my own regardless of what gender I was assigned at birth and if that is my gender now.
