FfFfFfFF 58,120
On the occasion of the 210th anniversary of the first annexation of Bessarabia on May 16, 1812, "UNIREA-ODIP" Association organized a flashmob in front of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Moldova, in which they used a tricolor flag. "Russian army, out!", "We want peace, not war", "210 years of occupation", were some of the slogans that resounded today in front of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Chisinau. On May 16, 1812, the peace treaty between the Ottoman Empire and the Russian Empire was signed in Bucharest, following the war on the territory of the principalities of Moldavia and Wallachia (1806-1812). By the Peace of Bucharest of 1812, Bessarabia was annexed by Russia. FfFfFfFF 58,120
@Gov Hooka On Russian imperialism in Eastern Europe that couldn't be as bad as Western imperialism.. right? According to Vasile Stoica, emissary of the Romanian government to the United States, in 1834, the Romanian language was banned from schools and government facilities, despite 80% of the population speaking the language. This would eventually lead to the banning of Romanian in churches, media, and books. According to the same author, those who protested the banning of Romanian could be sent to Siberia. On Russia's present-day presence in Moldova that couldn't be as bad as US building international bases WITH the host country's agreement, right? - https://www.researchgate.net/publication/236760718_The_Transnistrian_Dilemma - https://www.researchgate.net/publication/343403413_Transnistria_as_an_Instrument_of_Influence_of_the_Russian_Federation_on_the_Security_of_Moldova_in_the_Second_Decade_of_the_21st_Century-Selected_Aspects - https://www.researchgate.net/publication/339816973_The_Transnistria_Republic
Gaijin 444
Somebody explained it to me, as “imagine if the US forced Japan to speak English and banned the Japanese language” What they are doing to these cultures is horrible. They say the west are trying to extinguish their culture and language, but they’ve been the ones doing it to Eastern Europe for 300 years or more?? I’m not saying the west is innocent, but my goodness. Russia needs a wake up call. No war!!! 珈琲ちょうだい
