Channing Tatum has revealed that he almost turned down the opportunity to be in Magic Mike 3 because of the physical demands to achieve the look expected in the movie

 

Tatum says he was no longer fit enough for that role and taking it was going to involve a lot of work and effort and he feels the amount of physical demand to look like that is not even healthy

 

But in the end he ended up taking the challange

He's also 42... Most males start to have a harder time building and maintaining the same peak muscle mass from late 30s onward and to have it while being lean is even more difficult since body fat % tends to rise

 

So age definitely starts to become a factor too

I think this makes him very human and relatable to let people know this because what you could do 10 years ago is not something you might be up to now.

Except that’s not just his job. He kinda also has to act. And believe it or not, being an actor is not easy at all.
