RAMROD 104,202
overall 8.5/10 for me - PG13 rating is really pushing it for this movie, cos MCU is getting bloodier and got few swear words in now. No more Captain America who gonna correct their behavior anymore. - At it best, it is good. It gave mild horror but it is only spices, not the main story. Meaning it only shows every now and then, but when it happen it is pretty good. You won't lose sleep over it unless you are very sensitive or if you brought toddlers/little kids. -This is one movie that I wish were longer. Cos at some parts it feels "choppy" - The resolution of the story can be much better. (SPOILER WARNING) Spoiler - The character shown on mid credits are more hype worthy than everyone else in the movies combined..., save for two characters, perhaps. But even that, is the "win some lose some" kinda deal for fans. Clea is literally a big deal in Dr. Strange lore. And I am shookedT to see her on mid credits, which seems ginna lead to future stuffs in MCU, not to mention she is starred by Charlize Theron no less. This is gonna get awesome! While all the variants that we met are dead as quick as they were shown. And the battle was very unfair lmao, but that is Scarlet Witch for you. The hype just come and gone with this one - There is continuation error that I have been thinking since I first saw it the other day. If this is an error or deliberate for some reasons. I tell it below: (SPOILER WARNING) Spoiler Back in Spider-Man 3, when Multiverse characters comes, the variants that crossing over have different face and personalities. The same with Loki series. All those Loki shown are not all Tom Hiddleston. But why does the ones on What If and this Multiverse of Madness movie are all looking similiar? Why can't variants Strange starred by other actors instead of Cumberbatch in different hairstyle and outfits? Also Catherine and everyone else too. With John Krasinski doing Mr. Fantastic and Patrick Stewart as Prof. X, which are fans favorite casts, in a way MCU already make those requests/wishes come true. BUT, those are just variants, not the one from main MCU timeline, the 616. Besides, all of them are dead in the movie now. Which makes me thinking, if there are gonna be recast? Or will the 616 version of them also going to be starred by the same actors again?? (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ 𝒬𝓊𝑒𝑒𝓃 𝓃𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓇 𝒸𝓇𝓎 (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡

bionic 42,065
Just got back from this. The best Marvel film in a looooong time IMO. I love the more horror-infused elements. Wanda is the perfect 'villain'– she stole the film and I spent every scene she wasn't in wishing she'd appear. buy bionic
GipJo 2,851
I hate this! It backtracks all of her experience in WandaVision, which is my fav MCU content. It totally disragards her growth in that show, the way she was able to abandon her fake world to save people from her power is so powerful and consistent with her previous actions. Yet in this film there is no reason for her to be this violent after what happened in WV. Her motive is lacking and her actions don't fit her personality. The visual is a stepback compares to DS1, there are no WOW visuals, just usual VFX that we have seen so many times before, and some vfxs are so bad I could laugh. Also they totally abandoned the vfx Wanda had in WandaVision, I loved her vfx in that, in this it's nothing unusual for her power level. The story is usual MCU stuff, so no need to go too deep on that, but I feel like MCU starts to get very boring. It feels like the story is not an important aspect for MCU movie production anymore, all they care about is getting the guest starring into MCU movie now, how to drop so many characters into so few movies they put out a year, the story is gradually taking the backseat for character easter egg hunting. This doesn’t disregard her story at all? Did you not see the post credit scene of her reading the Darhold? The book of evil? That Agatha was influenced by? In the MCU WandaVision takes place shortly after Endgame, and MoM takes place almost two years later… she’s had nearly two years of corruption from this book to take hold over and corrupt your mind… it makes perfect sense. It feels reverse engineering exactly because of that. Why would you put her into the same story arc again just because they want to create a MU timeline to continue the overall story? It tells nothing new for her character, just retelling again and telling it worse than WV. I can see clearly how that story comes to life in writter's hand: we need someone to create MUs so we can bring other characters into MCU later on→let's use Wanda→why would Wanda do that, she already moved on?→well let's add a magic book so all her actions can be forgiven because of the bad book. Wanda already has that character growth, we got nothing new from this. If it happens because of DS I would feel so down for that, because that's new for his character. The book doesn't make a lot of sense either. She moved on, there is nothing for the book to corrupt her, the book corrupted Agatha because she is a bad person and has evil agenda, while Wanda is a good person at heart, she literally gave up her family for the people. Even if she was corrupted that shouldn't change who she is at her core. She going rampage for her children is totally out of her character. Even when she was going for Vision's body back in WV she didn't hurt anyone else. This is just not it for the Wanda I love.

Wanda as a character is defined by her traumas, both in the comics and the MCU. The Scarlet Witch was prophesied to either rule or destroy the world. We already had that established in WandaVision by Agatha in the finale. The Scarlet Witch is chaos. Wanda lost her children, whether they were real or not. That's not something she's going to just get over. Especially once she discovers the multiverse and that they exist in every reality. She's going to want her kids, no matter what. And with the corruption of the Darkhold, that is only going to multiply. Yeah, it seems out of nowhere considering where we left her last, but it does make sense. In all honesty, this movie would have benefit from being longer to smooth out some of the rough edges.
Lextyr97 18,960
I saw the Avatar 2 teaser and the CGI looked seriously ****ing bad in some of the shots lmao like really bad. Doctor Strange on the other hand was sooooooooooooo good. I ****ing loved it so much. Raimi was the perfect choice to direct it. He did a fantastic job. The movie was a little sloppy in some areas but I really don’t give a ****. It’s my #2 fave in the MCU. Wanda’s powers were a sight to behold

Sorry but I don’t think you paid enough attention to Wandas arc throughout the MCU. Not only Has she lost everything, she enslaved a town, pointed guns at someone in WandaVision when they tried to take the slaves away from her, and read the dark hold.. But not only that.. deep down she IS the Scarlet Witch who enslaved and ruled from her thrown. —- Wanda was amazing tho, what a fantastic ending to her current MCU arc. Adding the horror elements really helped her shine.
Daenerys 5,937
Ansolutly LOVED Sam Raimi’s nod to his Evil Dead fans! Love love love! SadBoi808 1,120
My thoughts: messy script, I don’t like how they threw away the book Of Vishanti when it’s literally most powerful book (wasted opportunity). I don’t think Michael Waldron should be invited back as a screenwriter… Sam Raimi did say the original cut was 2hr and 40 minutes and definitely could’ve benefited from a longer runtime imo to flesh out some the characters a bit more as well some key moments. I don’t like how wanda become single note and one dimensional character in this film, but I loved her nonetheless. She stole the show. I just felt so much pain for her. i Loved Drag me to hell/spider man 2 vibes, that made up for the messy script. The the soft rock and gothic scenes, the campy horror Sam Raimi DNA works so well with doctor strange. He should continue to direct the doctor strange films. one of my favorites in the mcu as far as her solo movie keep Raimi as director to maintain the witchiness and Jac Schaeffer as writer to maintain Wanda's integrity in the writers room. 8/

JINNOCIDE 3,763
Did anyone catch this continuation error? Spoiler When America and Wong jumped to the portal after beating Wanda in the last fight, they go straight to Kamar-Taj, but when she opens another portal to rescue Strange the background shows that they're still on the mountains. Logan 20,561
*spoilers* The movie was a disservice to WandaVision, I don’t feel like that’s even up for debate. Obviously as a Wanda stan I enjoyed seeing her beat literally everyone to a pulp, but at the cost of any redemption story. I fully understand this route is accurate to the comics, doesn’t make it good though. notes: - those Cthon thugs were weak! - the Xavier mind tap scene should have been more fleshed out. People were excited the most for his cameo, shame it was so short. - good to see the Wanda vs Captain Marvel debate answered - my favorite and most impactful scene was the kids utterly terrified of Scarlet Witch and throwing toys at her. - how will Billy and Tommy come back? It’s frustrating to see them come and go so much at this point. - the music battle was fun - seeing Wanda do more weird witchy stuff besides the usual telekinesis was neat; especially the crawling out of the reflection magic. Creepy stuff! - what will Wanda be without the Scarlet Witch persona? Has it permanently impacted her? Will it be a green goblin thing where it comes out randomly? I give it a 7/10, which breaks my heart because I’ve been obsessing over this movie ever since it was announced.
