She is dragging this to stay relevant. So people can talk about her again. Her star light has certainly dimmed.

I have the impression that she is a very kind person, so I don't get why she takes it so seriously. Also, I think that the fans have the freedom to sing along with her. She can do acapella when she is writing/recording or just sining in the shower imo

Yeah because Lorde is known for giving a single f*ck about being famous and being in the spot light... this is exactly why she barely goes online right?  If she wanted to stay 'relevant' (not that she isn't relevant, but let's pretend she isn't for the sake of your reply), she would have released a very different sounding album and done 500 interviews, tv appearances, bigger shows that aren't intimate, etc. How is she even dragging this when she only spoke about it a total of 2 times on the same day and that was it?
