Fantastique. Chic. Freak. SLAAAAY. So god damn iconic. This should have been the album version for 1:32 alone

Any other album by her has better and deeper lyrics than Chromatica what are you talking about is this thread even real :rip:

"don't play with me it just hurts me", "I don't need a reason I want your stupid love", "I'm tall in high heels but I'm only 5f2" :rip:

I think Gaga’s best album lyrically would be ASIB. I would even go as far as saying Joanne is her best lyrically speaking. It's often ignored but that album has great lyrics, it's the production that weighs down the quality of what could have been a great album.

???? this is such bs know of fence :mark:

I remember she did that live at the Muppets thanksgiving performance and I thought it was something she added in to change it up with Rupaul, but then years later the demos leaked and it turns out it was the original vocals!! I still love the version we got though. But the fantastique, chic, freak, slay was really it!

I actually have been singing this part to the album version for years because of this one performance

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Yes, I think so.

I appreciate wit and clever writing, but it also has to be relatable. Because if not, what's the point? Chromatica is both clever and accessible, and personal, as a body of work.

Joanne / ASIB ballads come close. She's really matured as a lyricist.

Born This Way was also good.

I have no idea what she's talking about for most of ARTPOP. (At least in my early listens of the album)

My favorite songs from her lyrically though must be Monster, Hair, Is That Alright and ARUTW.
