Like imagine in the executive room: we will do top gun and since take my breath away is so tied to the movie and quite iconic, we need someone who is relevant enough for today climate while the original film audience one would appreciate

Clear. There is a difference between the score and the soundtrack. Her song will be part of the OST and maybe some elements of it have been elaborated for the score, but it's clear that she wrote and performed the song. Imagine having a song written by Lady Gaga, one of the greatest voice of this generation, Oscar winner for best original song and have another artist sing it

This actually could also work against her when it comes to her best actress Oscar chances in the future, if she gets another recognition in song, which can happen easily since it could be a made up for the snub of this year, she will be already a 2x Oscar winner, which is a lot for somebody under 40, the acting branch this year proved to be petty in recognizing the work of somebody who is already super successful in another field, it will be ever more harder for her to get the acting recognition by being 2 times winner.
