Wet Fire 6,714 Posted April 3, 2022 Share Posted April 3, 2022 I know a lot of people think it's undeserving for L4S to win AOTY (some don't want the first AOTY-winning Gaga album to be a cover)...but a lot of undeserving people win every year. Lemonade deserved more than 25. Kendrick deserved BNA over Macklemore and AOTY over Taylor. Shallow deserved ROTY and SOTY. But other less deserving candidates won after all. So, no need to feel odd if L4S wins AOTY. It's a stellar traditional pop album which embodies the fact that Lady Gaga introduced the Great American songbook and classic jazz standards to a 21st century younger audience. I agree with Tony tribute. He deserves it and I honestly find intriguing how Gaga is able handle this. I don’t think Happier and Sour deserve that either, both albums have some highlights songs for sure but not the whole thing. I’m not even going to talk about Planet Her. It has been like that for years and years, so it does make sense to honor such a magnificent career with the biggest award of the night.
