i didn't even know they planned 2022 for this. seems way too soon for nintendo. I'll be surprised if it's not delayed again. They'll probably just launch their Switch 2 with this and the new metroid prime

It hurts but I know the game will be amazing and I’m not disappointed that they’re putting more time into making this game a true masterpiece.
More development time just means it’ll be a bigger and better game imo.
plus the new clips with Link look amazing, I’m so intrigued

Sad it's delayed, but the way I look at it is it gives other games such as Xenoblade 3 and the new Pokemon games coming late 2022 chance to shine and BOTW2 more chance to be amazing.

This exactly. Honestly I am glad they are delaying it.

And echoing the lack of new hardware; I think the DLC for Mario Kart has all but confirmed that. We'll have DLC for Mario Kart through end of 2023. Which tells me there won't be a new piece of hardware until late 2024 at the earliest.

In the age of day 1 updates, bad games can end up good. See No Man's Sky, for example
