Love how she expressed herself .From the beginning I knew this was exactly what she meant and where she was coming from but everyone seems to be so clouded in their misplaced disdain for the kardashians.

Maybe watch full videos instead of the 5 second clips you're being fed on twitter. Context matters

I kinda agree with her. As I look around people really are a lot less motivated/dedicated than previous generations. I have an intern who is really arrogant and thinks she knows everything, she’s 17 and has a lot to learn. I feel like that mentality is throughout our society lately. I don’t know where it comes from and this certainly is also true for me if I compare myself to the drive of my dad.

She may could’ve chosen her words a bit better but she is not wrong.

The sound bite was definitely taken out of context. But I don't even disagree with it out of context.

She was addressing social media people who think they can lay back and do nothing without working hard to get their business off the ground. To the ones that think the fame is enough to get the business off the ground. It was directly pointed to them and not all women who are working.

I would say that can definitely apply to a lot of the “influencers” on Tik Tok.

Uhh this basically just reiterated what she said before?

She's still insisting anyone can reach her level of success with just "hard work," without acknowledging the insane amount of privilege she had to boost her to where she is now. Of course people can achieve great things from nothing, but to act like anyone who isn't on her level is in their position just because they aren't working hard enough is still insulting.

And her apology, "I'm sorry you were offended."

Criticism still stands.

More context on why comments like this are unhelpful:

I think the consensus with the new generation is that the 'hard work' and 'dedication' barely pays off. More and more people are not interested in slaving away only to live paycheck to paycheck, and opportunities to actually succeed to the point where you can consider yourself financially comfortable are simply too rare.

As for Kim, her being a privileged woman (that worked hard I guess) will forever make it a "right message wrong messenger" moment - especially since she's a part-time troll.
