I was not referring to their feminine looks because I love Harry Styles, what I was talking about is that today most of these boys who idealize are f * ckboys

The “it-dudes” are still the muscles guys out of Californian gyms, just go on any app to look or even any threads here. At best the thin boy look is a trend that will fade, i don’t think its gonna last or become as huge as the kardashian body type became since last decade.

100% this :laughga:

mother, what must i do?

I feel like with men there are way more subcategories of beauty standards. You can’t deny that while there are many scrawny it boys there are also many Hollywood muscle jocks and older George Clooney types.

I don’t think it’s a trend. Leonardo Dicaprio showed executives that there is a market for “feminine” guys. That “feminine” look caters towards the younger demographic, since a lot more younger people have time to be on the internet, the demand for that look is more apparent.

We are literally in a time when a big part of the internet is 8 year olds are on twitter screaming how they love BTS or some tiktok eboy.

I do think those it’s a cycle of age. As fans age they want a more mature masculine look. Then the new generation of their pretty boy celebs.

*Warning: I'm not trying to be offensive or anything. I just noticed this pattern and I'm just curious.

Ex:

- gender bending looks (harry styles & timothee chalamet & plenty others ... i actually have a few friends who still simp over them lol and i have a lot of mutuals who follow these people lol)

VO1220_Cover.jpg

- jb (back during his early years where he was inescapable in school)

- kpop industry (lot of stans shame the idols if they look too "fat" smh or like if their built)

- other exs: tiktok eboys/fboys (tall + skinny + young lookin + with that haircut and facial expressions they all have)

Because they are nonthreatening to women.

They have a nonthreatening look.

It's not what I'm attracted to, nor does it represent me, but I'm here for it. It feels new and different.

I find it so weird how certain physical traits are considered “trendy”.

I hope the whole idea around this should change. All body types and physical features can be beautiful at any time. We have just been fed by the media on the definition of attractiveness but it’s all stupid in my opinion.

Because it's hot :lolly:

No but fr I think it's because stan culture is what drives popularity these days, and most people who engage in stan culture online are younger girls, and gay men. And younger girls and gay men tend to like these types

Also I think older females are starting to realise that more sensitive guys are better for them than beefy masc men, which was the old-school standard of hot

And I think it's a good thing tbh. Hyper-masculinity can be (not always! I said can be) so incredibly toxic. So it feels refreshing to see more femininity and less muscle men in the popular sphere. It also feels more attainable and relatable for a lot of men

I would give away a lung to look like harry or timothee:huntyga:

ME TOO. Are you kidding? Either of these men could slice open my throat and I would strain out a 'thank you' as my last words while drowning in my own blood, just for the honour of them touching me

I'll be myself until they fƫcking close the coffin.
