Oh no… does this affect overground and underground too?

I don't think so, it's just the companies listed in that second article. The people travelling from outside of London will be most affected.

However there are planned strikes on the night tube too for both shows: https://tfl.gov.uk/campaign/tube-strike

this won’t be too disruptive though, its  reduced capacity at worst

UGH this is SO annoying, I've booked a train to see her on the 30th.

I've booked a coach as a back-up, luckily only £10.

No way am I driving too and in London on the day.

I'm supposed to travel at 12 from the train station, this is making me anxious :saladga:

Me too! I think there'll hopefully be some staff still and trains still go ahead, especially on a Saturday.

I'd MUCH prefer to go by train, so i'm really hoping it doesn't get cancelled as it is much quicker.

Can I ask if they checked names on tickets and matched them with ID? Some of my friends who I bought tickets for are arriving later and I don’t want them to have any trouble getting in… 😅

Nah no ID check, literally just scan the ticket and go in 😊 everything inside is pretty clearly signed, so I would just suggest if you are meeting someone all agree on a specific numbered section entrance once you're in there. Makes it a bit easier!

Anyone familiar with London know of a good zay to travel to the stadium? Our hotel is close to Madame Tussaud's and Im stressing out over ways to get there :bear:

Use the Transport for London journey planner online. I use it everytime I need to go into London - it generally updates if there are strikes or another route needs to be taken/replacement buses etc.

I really hope so too, and i don't mean to sound overdramatic here but i hate how these things go wrong. I just want to be excited but I'm always expecting the worst!

I did see last time that the trains finished at like 3.45pm to London so hopefully will be the same this time around.

People if you have booked trains for these dates think you need coaches (for people outside of London) just incase .

Good advice! I booked a coach a couple of hours ago as a back-up.

OT: I just realized that I’m supposed to see Sarah Millican in Basingstoke on 27/7 ☹️ I’m not from the UK so I don’t know how else to get there and back on the same night.

National Express coach goes from London Victoria to Basingstoke if that helps? Not sure how regular it is though.

Where are you travelling in from? On strike days there is usually some sort of heavily reduced service running from Waterloo to Basingstoke. May well end early though, can only suggest you check timetables nearer the time.

For the train strike on the 30th, keep an eye on last trains for the 29th as well. Last time some of the later trains started getting cancelled the night before.
