NFRatwell 23,290
Here are a few sounds I think will make this next album on par with her other essential albums (TFM, BTW) 1. The Carol King route I think we can all agree that Gaga as a singer / songwriter is severely underrated. Making a stripped back piano album, produced and written entirely or almost entirely by her is probably something many of us are here for, whether that’s her next album or later in her career. 2. The Metal / Rock route With BTW, Gaga dabbled in a lot of electric guitar and rock sounds. And there is definitely a demand for rock, both by fans and a more rock interested GP. 3. The Look What I Found route Piano, trumpets, drums, guitars. good vibes. Served with amazing soulful vocals, I think this would be a great medium for fans and the GP. Put in some funk and gospel vocals to for an I Wish sound.
Bonkers 29,573
By mentioning both the Carol King route and the Look What I Found route you really see Gaga like I do. I didn't know anyone else here was as smart as me. When I first heard Look What I Found, I knew "this is your lane," Lady Gaga. It is the most flawless match for her voice and talent. The rock stuff - and everybody can sad me right the hell up if they need to - but when she does rock, she looks like a poser. Someone TRYING to be "rock" and "cool" and comes off totally fake AF to me. For some reason I don't see what others see in that genre for her. She could be successful with a rock album, lots of people like how she does it, but not me. Girl you had me in the first part Maybe you just need to watch more of her performing rock… I love the videos of her with Tommy London. Maybe when she’s doing some forced choreography with Metallica it looks weird, but she doesn’t seem like a poser here. 1:
Bling 31,443
Out of these, the Metal/rock route. But my dream would be something like this (Wait til the beat kicks in around 0:57 )
Werewoof 2,476
I’d love to hear a Look What I Found mixed with her early material (like wonderful, brown eyes, again, again etc).
Pop Music 20,540
serve a timeless bubblegum pop album Pop Music and Lady Gaga forever!
Night Vision 3,068
I don't think she would make a full blown rock/metal album. If she was going to go in that direction it would probably be a pop album with rock/metal influences rather than going the whole way. I'm here for it. But a Carole King Tapestry style album would also be great.
rinasawachanta 3,076
I said this before but I think Gaga should record an album full of stadium and glam rock anthems ala Queen

Plus the song Moth into flame talks about a "pop queen" and fame culture, it's literally the best match, plus all the chaotic dancers in the background are meant to represents the moths burning into the flames literally and metaphorically, people and metalheads who said that and complain about it have no idea at all, and can't even link the meaning of the lyrics with the performance and the things that are happening on stage.... Thisssssss, it would be awesome if she did a Fiona Apple piano rock sound mixed with a little bit of old school piano jazz and soul
rinasawachanta 3,076
Ah and also I don't want choreo anymore. I think she doesn't need it at all... Yes iconic moves and mannierisms (ala Dance in the dark in MBT) but not intrincate choreos that interfere with her singing
Suspiria 10,683
I agree that the LWIF/Carole King route seems like a no brainer, she clearly loves it the most and it seems to come so naturally to her. It's very much her go-to. But personally it's my worst nightmare I just find it so utterly flavourless and bland, it's genreless. I hate it so much. It's like music before it develops its personality (Purely subjective of course, I know a lot of people love it). Metal I don't listen to but I think I could get into it if she did it. It at least has style and flavour to it, it's distinctive.
janetjackson 249
I would love for it to not feel like a separate character from Stefani, but to just be genuine musical expression of who she is now, fusing together all of the incredible facets that make up her creativity. I got the feeling with Enigma and Chromatica that she was very much "becoming" the Gaga character -- mind you, I loved Chromatica and received a tremendous amount of healing. But in my mind, there exists a space where she simply be herself, wearing LOOKS not costumes, exploring jazz, rock, pop, dance, ballads....whatever she is drawn to. Something that feels dynamic and authentic to who she is in this moment. Of course, I can't say during Chromatica she wasn't completely authentic. I hope this all lands with love. I am a big fan -- have been since the Fame. I want her to soar and feel a sense of freedom. Not being so trapped by the personality of LADY GAGA.
