When you see the tour interlude it works. But having that few seconds on Instagram to send a message and half of it is her dancing it's strange. I agree with you - the average person on Insta isn’t going to connect the dots to her previous work so they will lose the context, which is important when dealing with sensitive subjects like this. Ukraine right now only have us common citizens of the world standing up for them, because leaders of europe and the world are doing the bare minimum. I think her intention here was to create art around a world event to draw attention to it. Doing that was a common use of pop-star power back in the 80's when white mediocrity ruled and it was mind blowing and interesting and daring. I just think it's outdated and kind of tacky, not something she was using for self promotion (like usual).
