Obviously it came be seen as selfish and tacky but not convinced it is. However, cutting in a video of herself singing and dancing amongst images of Hitler, Putin, and Ukraine under attack is just not it. I highly doubt she’s trying to promote the Confessions tour (and that “Sorry” remix, which is over a decade old). Madonna has often used her music and imagery to express her political views (she has a whole album called “American Life”). Artists should be able to. I see where you're coming from, BUT the original interlude was political and called out tyrants including Bush, starvation in Africa, environmental problems, protests, etc and her shows generally have a political and empowered tone. So if you know Madonna and this reference, it actually makes perfect sense and isn't tone def at all. ***Hitler was in the original video too. Idk, I see what she did and why she did it. She's always spoken about political things and made sure people knew where she stood, spread awareness, etc. But I can also see why people thinks it's offensive. I personally really like that she's using her platform to spread awareness and that she updated her interlude footage because it's so iconic and calls out Putin.
