If Gaga gets Covid before a tour date...

Hey all, I have a serious question since I'm actually considering to attend the London show. I'm not from the UK so this means flights and accommodation and all its fees, etc.

What happens if Gaga gets Covid before a show? Obviously this is the last thing I want to happen, but it's just a possibility I think fans should prepare for.

What are the likely intervals between the scheduled date and the new date? I'm thinking because of this possibility I might need to purchase a one-way ticket rather than round-trip tickets. If she postpones it by a week, I might stay and still be able to see the show.

But if she postpones it until months later, are the tourists just gonna leave the country and get refunds instead?

Has this happened to anyone before? Not specifically Covid-related but in the event of postponements, how do you ensure you still get to see the show if you don't live in the country where the show takes place?

I'm not an expert at all, so all of this is just a wild guess. But I don't think a date can be rescheduled that fast. Booking these venues for artists takes a lot of money and time. A covid infection is something very sudden that you can't be well prepared for. I think if an artist gets sick, your ticket will be refunded for sure but there's no way that she can perform in the same city, or venue a week later.

Since you're talking about London, in England we're no longer legally required to self isolate after a positive covid test. Things could change again by the summer, but at the moment, it would be up to Gaga what she chose to do and how long she would want to isolate. Of course it depends on her symptoms and how well she feels too.

And apparently you don't need to take a covid test to come into England if you are fully vaccinated: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-to-england-from-another-country-during-coronavirus-covid-19?priority-taxon=774cee22-d896-44c1-a611-e3109cce8eae

I somehow agree. I believe if that indeed happened to my date, I'd just need to treat that trip as an ordinary vacation without Gaga, and I'd have to settle for that.

Thank you.

This seems optimistic. If Gaga gets Covid but has only mild symptoms and feels okay enough to perform, I think she might go ahead with it, since tens of thousands of people have made an arrangement with her.

Let's just hope nothing too serious happens to her while touring.

Currently the Dusseldorf date falls on Sunday 17 July, the Paris date falls on Sunday 24 July. The London. dates yet to leak/be announced by LG and her team but it's likely the London date will fall on Saturday 30 July like the previous two years. There seems to be anywhere between a few days up to a week between each date according to the previous two sets of dates we got.

Apparently yes. The UK really said "f you" to Covid.

I think it's still recommended, but you're not legally obliged to. The rules were eased a few days ago.

Just to add, I work for the NHS and still have to wear a mask to work and do regular lateral flow tests, so the rules are different for us.
