@FfFfFfFF I read that Ukrainian soldiers are starting to desert due to high casualties and injuries in some of the harder to fight areas. How much truth is there to that?

It's sad to think they're becoming demoralized 'cause you know Russia will capitalize on that...

I also heard of the fact that morale was lowering, but after months of intense fighting and immense pshycological stress, I'd say this is completely understandable. Those who decided to desert (which likely existed since the very first days of the war) should not be judged.

Even though media's attention to Ukraine decreased, these are the times were possibily the most intense battles are being fought. And they are nightmare-ish..

Update 14-15 June

I'm genuinely worried that the West will stop supporting Ukraine, Russia will take over (and commit war crimes on an even larger scale than they are already doing), Ukraine will suffer....and China will take notice and finally go after Taiwan. Then WW3.

I don't think actual foreign diplomatic support to Ukraine will cease, and US and allies will continue to send arms, but it's pretty apparent that the initial wave of solidarity from the people died off. I was reading an article about this the other day. https://www.newstatesman.com/world/europe/ukraine/2022/06/europe-divided-in-ukraine-war

This was expected, especially as now one may feel financial repercussion in his own life, suffering for a country whose existence was unknown to him prior to February and which in no way is a priority to him.. this is human nature. Maybe now Germany and France will try to be act even more as ''mediators'' and push for territorial concessions from Ukraine, which Zelensky is less and less willing to give...

Have you seen the graduation photos of students in the ruins of their former schools in Ukraine?

About WW3 - I was watching a video about how Russia can collapse.

I don't think Russia will straight up cease to exist, but I believe China will act increasingly demanding in Siberia as Russia's socio-political landscape is weakened. I really expect China to try to take over Siberia in the following years.

Russians fighting for Ukraine captured Ukrainian citizens fighting for Russia. This is so peculiar I have to share.

Update 16-17 June

It seems that the Russians advance less than 1km per day, as opposed to earlier in the war when they advanced 100kms. Today was even more quiet compared to previous days..
