Something i dont understand about this world, so many charities, yet still famine and poverty in some areas of the world. A lot of charities are corrupted, and bullshit

WhenĀ I was in South East Asia last year doing some charity work, I was told not to bother donating to charities because the money rarely gets to the people who need it most. The middle men oftenĀ pocket it themselves.Ā If you want to donate, go straight to theĀ facilities (places that allow the less fortunate to work for a fair wage etc) and hand them the money yourself.Ā

Exactly what I did for the greek fires, didn't give to a charity, i gave it to someone who worked directly there and wasn't tied to a charity. sad but this is how it is now

Someone with values and common sense I'd say

So if you create a product that almost everyone on this planet wants, you don't deserve the money theyĀ give to you?

How about increasing the wage of the thousands of employees thanks to whom your company is succeesing instead ?

a lot of my friends who work at different places within tesla have a very healthy salary with stock options that have gone up about 1300 percent since they started. It's not guaranteed to go up forever, but they are being compensated much better than others ( starts with a ends with zon )

Yes, if you got your fortune throughĀ exploitingĀ the less fortunate. Shouldn’t that be common sense?

:ally:Ā yeah because Tesla pays so little. They pretty much start at $20 an hour. If anything they prove a company can pay more than just a livable wage of $15 and still be profitable.

Pay workers more so that we don’t need charities. This is message not just for Tesla but for every huge company like Walmart and Amazon.Ā
Ā

But, no, they’d rather be higher up on a list of billionairesĀ

Amazon starts at $15 an hour. Even Bernie only had an 8 year plan to get everyone to $15 an hour.Ā Ā

I don't know why everyone is so uniformed about salaries.Ā

The average rent for aĀ 1-bedroom in California is $1,800

I’mĀ not uninformed about salaries~
Ā

Those salaries are not enough. Don’t know why you’re quoting Bernie. Most people know $15 isn’t on par with the inflation we’ve have over the past decades.Ā

Ok so tell how much an unskilled entry level position should make? Because $15 is just for those employees.Ā

You didn’t say anything people didn’t know though. Good for Amazon — Bernie helped make that happen by the way. And SO many workers still make so much less than that. What even is your point? Do you even know yourself?
