Can't believe they tried to make us think why did you do that is a bad song

of course it's a good song. The bass is everything, it's clean and has a very cool groovy slide idk what effect. 

And what I like about the lyrics is that it's a very feminine and empowering song like, they can talk about a boy's butt and not be overly sexual in the same way.... And Gaga always flirts with the cliché elements and always puts something new and fresh or unique in it.

It's not bad it's just very basic pop music. It doesn't live up to Lady Gaga or Ally Maine's artistic potential. Also out of the 3 "pop" tracks from ASIB, this one is the most particularly shallow (no pun intended ) and the hook is arguably annoying.

I thought it is pretty obvious that song were intentionally made to be "bad" music for the movie context. It was deliberately made to be basic sounding like every other radio songs that were churned out based on trendy sounds back then. Which was tropical house pop thing. 
 

But aside from that aspect, of course it is enjoyable pop music.
