Should we have a witch hunt and cancel this dude into oblivion? What more do people want? In this political climate, and with everything Black Americans have had to endure daily but also see the blatant racist systems still in place and black kids and trans women still being killed, some by police... No, his "apology" was not enough and felt very tone def and "sorry I got caught". It doesn't seem he's intelligent enough to grasp that though. Not to mention this is Black History Month

Not to mention this is Black History Month I understand it’s a terrible thing he did but that was the past and we can only move on from now, as difficult as it may be. Ask yourself this, what would you have done if you were in his shoes? He is taking responsibility and not justifying anything and acknowledges it was all bad. trolly troll troll

But then turn around and say that you weren’t calling black people Apes!??? Egypt. W

It's about the overall tone of his "apology". It serves very much "Spotify asked me to do this so here goes..." How about apologizing specifically to his black fans? How about inviting Black scholars to discuss issues on his show? How about he use the words "privilege" and "injustice" in a sentence? That'd be a start. This is 2022 people, come on. What more do people want? the damage has already been done. hard to undo everything that he did with just words. “apologizing” isn’t enough. donate money to organizations that facilitate science outreach and dissemination, donate to organizations that help those in disadvantaged and impoverished neighborhoods. go on a podcast and talk about vaccine misinformation and racism. just saying sorry is so disingenuous and easy. actually SHOW that you’re sorry for what you’ve done.
