So, I checked out the comments on F*x News to see how they are reacting, and surprisingly most people are saying Pence is right. It gives me some hope.

I really don't think that's "the liberal discourse". People would just like to see the Republican Party move back more in the direction of sanity. I mean, at least as long as it's going to continue to exist. That shouldn't be confused with support, much less defeatism.
