A healthy mix of capitalism that protects a free and competitive market and consumer and employee power with a dose of socialism to provide a safety net so no one falls behind to the point that their survival is threatened. They work well together, they're both rancid piles of garbage separately.

That's the answer :tony:

Step one: eat the rich :patrizia: billionaires are public enemy #1. Write laws that prevent CEOs from making hundreds or thousands of times what their lowest paid employees make. Prevent companies from getting ANY tax breaks if they have employees that are paid so little they're collecting things like food stamps. Stuff like that. Tax, tax, tax, force them to give every penny back to society that they abused the system to steal from the labor of their employees.

Step two: feed the middle class and poor. Pretty self explanatory.

Step three: prosper :tony:

Not to be that person, but what about someone like Rihanna who’s estimated to be worth over $1B? Would she be the one rare case as long as she treats her employees well?

This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.

Nobody needs that much money :huntyga:

If you have that much, either in actual cash or in value, you should be taxed accordingly.

There's no need to be so serious! You're gonna die some day!

He's right. Celebs like to virtue signal and say dumb **** to be 'woke' but they're removed from reality. Gaga is no exception unfortunately, capitalism is what allows her to be literally one of the richest people in the world. Her entire career and brand is basically the epitome of capitalism.

She should have precised "current capitalism" to diss the way it's applied cause I'm pretty sure it's what she meant.

She dissed the difference in treatment between in the current capitalist system rather than opposing the concept if capitalism in itself I believe...

Coming from an ex-communist country, capitalism isn’t the worse devil of all. No system is perfect and we should strive to make the systems better as citizens, but at least capitalism works, unlike communism or other suggested concepts.
That being said, it sounds extremely hypocritical of her saying capitalism destroys women, while promoting her own make-up brand day and night.
I guess what she meant to say is she is against the discrimination embedded into the society, one of the main pillars of which is capitalism, but if she is against capitalism as a system in whole, then she shouldn’t be  promoting the system, benefitting from the system and being literally the face, representation of the system.

But She's right.

Patriarchy and capitalism does favor men over women. Just because she's an outlier doesn't make it any less true. You really think women have had equal opportunities in business as men?

You and Our Lady Gaga can benefit and favour capitalism and criticise it as well.. lately we’re so black and white with people criticising capitalism and wanting a better system, I can benefit from capitalism but wanting to pay more tax, better protection for workers, free healthcare, quality public education; it’s just fearful and ignorant ppl who exaggerate label that Marxism :giggle:

in what way her career has been "the epitome of capitalism"? you can say that about taylor swift or rihanna, since 2008 she's saying that money is meaningless to her, she went bankrupted a couple times because every penny she made she put into her shows and her fashion, and she didn't even own a home until she bought one in 2015, in fact all the messages behind her songs and her art are very anti-capistalism, cynical and satiric about it, while in her way of working has been always highlighted the community, the haus of gaga, the creative collective, the fan, little monsters, they are the kings and the queens, she's a devoted jester, spreading the message throught massive comercial mediums, she's been the most progressive pop artist since day one.

Patrizia had tons of money too, but she was still pushed to a breaking point. A lot of women are treated like Patrizia when they try to succeed in this way and they suffer effects from that, they just don't go on to become murderers

I think Gaga is talking about being internally, emotionally destroyed. And I do think she knows something about it especially because she has been successful she knows what it takes for a woman in that world

I could be wrong but I thought that's at least partially what she meant

Of course money is meaningless to her, money is meaningless when you have hundreds of millions of dollars, you are one of the richest people in the world and you never have to worry about money or think about money in your life ever again. She put money into her shows and her fashion because she knew she could make the money back and turn a huge profit, that's literally what capitalism is, that's what every business person does, they invest and take risks so they can grow their business. That's literally what capitalism is. "She didn't own a home until she bought one in" LMAO so what? She didn't own a home because she didn't need one, she was on the road all the time, flying in her private jet, all of which cost of millions of dollars over the years, then she bought a multi million dollar mansion in a rich neighborhood like all rich people do.

"in fact all the messages behind her songs and her art are very anti-capistalism, cynical and satiric about it" She never talks about capitalism in her songs and even if that was true, it doesn't mean anything when you're one of the richest people in the world as a result of capitalism, that would just be hypocritical and cringe.

If Gaga was really against capitalism, she would share ownership of her comany like Haus Labs with all of the employees and everyone's salary would be equal to hers. How much money did she make off of her tours vs how much did her backup dancers make? LMAO.

You can't keep denying reality, it's so cringe. Gaga is one of the richest people in the world, lives a luxurious lifestyle and it is all thanks to capitalism. She's a textbook capitalist rich person like anyone else and that's finem that's how the world should work. She should just stop with the woke commie bullshit just to pander to her fans cause it's all lies. That's the truth.

Why do you guys always throw other names in the mix? Rihanna was in a worse spot than Gaga was. Gaga at least had her videos and promotion paid for. Rihanna's record label was making her pay for everything. Fashion, videos, road expenses, promotion, shows, etc. She was about to be dropped before GGGB. She was paying for everything up until after Rated R.
