I remember when 7 Rings came out and I thought it was fine, but then everyone ATE IT UP. I see her logic even though the song isn’t necessarily my cup of tea at the moment. I’ve been a very active Charli Stan since around 2015-2016 and I saw her live in 2019 during her self-titled tour. If it were up to me, New Shapes would be blowing tf up, that song is spectacular. HardlyaSaint 727 Posted February 1, 2022 Share Posted February 1, 2022 New Shapes was ten times better than half of her recent discography in the past few years. this is gonna sound shady but honestly she was better at making avant-garde pop when she didn’t have any money or barely any recognition. all of her EPs and even that collab with Cupcakke still hold up the bar for lower level experimental hyper-pop. she’s slightly becoming more and more overrated even though her status is relatively idle, which is very confusing/puzzling to say the least.
