I mean, the d*ck shrooms were weird but other than that I thought she sounded pretty good. She doesn’t really have a pop voice so much as a folksier alt one so that she managed to blow up in Pop I think is more a consequence of marketing and her personality more than her vocals being suited to it. That said, she sounded pretty good imo

I also hate the fact that she still does these childish performances but I think this time she is actually promoting Play so it makes sense

I think the WIG performance was actually pretty good. Since this SNL performance was to promote the Vegas show I would’ve done a classic hit like teenage dream to go with WIG. NRO was okay I just don’t think it’s gonna resonate with the GP well since it’s time has past Overall I think she did a pretty good job.

Honestly, Enigma Gaga and Play Katy give me such a sad feeling in my gut. Because it feels like women in their 30s having to cosplay as who they were in their 20s because pop culture won't let them grow up and demands they stay permanently as nostalgia objects.

I thought it sounded horrible. I like her music but her performances look so extremely childish. The mushroom theme has nothing to do with the song(s).

But she’s literally promoting her Vegas show, so it works

shes covered in trash for this performance in her Vegas show, what does that have to do with the song too?

I thought she kinda killed it? Her voice has always been divisive but honestly, for what it is, she sounded great here.

My question is where was all of this promo when NRO (truly, a pop HIT that got away) was *ACTUALLY* released?

Seems Resorts World has more faith in Katy than her label, imo.

Ya. Both of these snl performances gave me anxiety about my own aging as a woman. So insanely cringe.
