Bradley Cooper NOT casting Gaga for ASIB directorial follow up

This puts an end to all the rumors. Bradley's next movie will not involve Gaga.

Netflix’s “Maestro” marks Cooper’s first directorial effort since the blockbuster success of his feature debut, “A Star Is Born.” Cooper also stars in “Maestro” as esteemed Broadway composer Leonard Bernstein, with Carey Mulligan on board to play Bernstein’s wife, Felicia Montealegre.

We know that Gaga isn't being cast in Maestro, that movie was announced months ago with Carey Mulligan. That doesn't mean he isn't possibly also developing a Cabaret remake and is interested in Gaga for that role

This is OLD news. Carey was cast in Sept 2020! BradGa fans were not happy. I was happy they were not happy, put it this way. 🙂

I am not surprised, I don’t think Gaga would care to be in a Netflix movie yet when she still doesn’t have a best actress Oscar... I feel like we will see paid services movies and tv shows only after her win... I know netflix movies can win Oscars too but it’s obvious she is going for the classic movie actress route...

This has been known for literally years. The project has been under development since 2018 and Carey Mulligan has been attached for almost as long.

It has nothing whatsoever to do with the rumoured Cabaret remake. It doesn’t put an end to anything.

I don't think it's cringe to work together several times. Bradley did 3 movies with Jennifer Lawrence... I hope he and Gaga work together again one day

As others have mentioned, we have known for a while she was not cast in the movie but I will actually be shocked if she is not involved in the music of the film in some way. She has mentioned before her dream to score a movie and with this film being about one of the best American composers I can see how she would be interested in it and Bradley consulting with her.
