Well i dunno about the variables where u live i just know here in my Province (the most populated part of Canada) all 4 waves started falling after restrictions were put in place

 

So i feel they can work if done properly and followed correctly

 

Im not saying the Netherlands should do restrictions rn as i dont know enough about ur dynamics to comment either way i was simply responding to a user who criticized me for supporting my Provinces measures because our hospitals were at the brink so i understand why the Government felt it was necessairy
