Overall, a big fan, but that season finale was a letdown. Last two episodes interwoven with the play was a bit much and it seemed way more soap opera-ish than usual.

Honestly thought the final episode was the most uneventful/boring episode this season. It felt like it was going nowhere apart from the police shoot out scene that didn’t really make any sense. I think Lexi’s play should’ve finished last episode because it just dragged on this episode. The highlight for me was hearing Z singing at the end of the episode, she has a beautiful voice. 
 

I can’t believe they’re not gonna release S3 till 2024 though, like the whole cast is looking old asf already to be playing teenagers.

I have to admit that Lexi and her mom are being excessively mean to Cassie but we still deserved to see Maddy beat that ass tho.

I just wish the play was shortened to last week’s episode and the finale focused on Rue’s storylines with Jules and the drug dealer she owes money to. Like that drug dealer should’ve been looking for Rue and kidnapped her at the end of the episode or Z broke out in song like S1 finale, just felt really underwhelming.

I was thinking that too but the way Faye blamed Laurie for the murder while the cops were listening makes me think that's going to be a storyline for Season 3.

I’m so sad about Ashtray! 😭 Does anyone think Fez will avoid going to prison by assisting the cops to take down Laurie?

I actually didn’t mind Elliot’s song, I thought the lyrics were beautiful and really captured Rue. That was a nice moment even though I don’t like his character.

Also I keep seeing complaints about the funeral speech scene being repeated, but I think it’s meant to show that Rue is reliving that moment everyday.

I like it overall, but episode 7 & 8 could've been a single 1 hr 30 min episode and not much would be lost lol.

I don't think Lexi's play was being specially mean towards Cassie, until the carrousel scene and the line being "Oooog I just loooove fckng everything!!" lmao that was mean. 

Not Kat getting one line in the whole episode while Elliot got a Tiny Desk concert. They really did her dirty til the end.

I feel this season was somewhat unbalanced in the way they treated some characters. Jules was a main one in the first season, even got her special, but this time, she was nothing more that Rue's love interest. Even the cd thing felt like "oh yeah remember we got this thing going on in the last season lol?". 

Rue's speech in the end, felt kinda final, like the kind of stuff that could be a series finale. For the "I stayed clean for the rest of the year" and "I'd like to remember her that way" I assume we're getting a time jump for season 3.
