I see Madonna for all that she is: a music and pop culture trailblazer and a spitfire who stands up for equality, but also sometimes unnecessarily a d!ck to a lot of people (including Gaga) and a try-hard in staying relevant (later years). Do I stan her? No. Do I hate her? No. She’s complex for better and for worse.

I mean gaga copied her song it was a fair response. But Madonna did end Gagas music career with that comment but also gaga was getting weirder and weirder super early in her career and it turned people off. Anyways If Ava Max became huge and made a song that sounded like poker face yall would understand how it felt to be madonna fans

You are remembering it wrong sweetie. Literally everyone on earth was saying she copied Madonna hard core it was a hot topic. radios were playing the song side by side comparing how similar they sound. Its the reason why Madonna was asked the question what did you think when you first heard Born This Way. I HATE when people try to rewrite history lol

I'm too old to dislike her. Same with Katy. I will not forget that she basically approved and used a backdrop on her tour of little "monsters" eating tin cans of recycled "iconography" but Madonna and what she thinks or is doing these days is of no real importance to me.

So what? I know Madonna and MJ since I was a toddler. My first ever Halloween was me wearing MJ red jacket from Thriller era. 

Katy Perry main audience when starting out were kids, so did Gaga, and every other pop artists out there. You need to realize, kids and teens are main market for these, since they are at the most receptive phase in life and likely to adopt new trends faster. 

And the fact is, lots of them don't vibe with Madonna anymore. Not like we did. For them it's Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, and Lady Gaga. They are the "legends", the way Diana Ross, Whitney, Lil'Kim, MJ, Janet, Madonna, and Cher were to Millennials. It is not a bad thing, nor a diss. That is what happened and that is OK tbh.
