Madonna’s growth & evolution can’t be compared because the landscape wasn’t even the way it was now & in Madonna’s time, EVERYONE was bringing something to the table. Gaga’s pop ascent was all her own & Rihanna was literally enlisting A List hit making producers for her first 6-7 albums, she only changed once she signed with Roc Nation and had more creative control. I disagree completely, she only switched up her style and sound with Anti, before that she was always dance pop/ r&b & she’s always had the hottest producers working on her tracks. All of them are so bittersweet, sad, hopeful and so personal. Come To Mama is basically the song that describes Gaga's personality best, I'd even say it's Born This Way (single)'s sister. Just Another Day is thé lazy-sunday bop with sad tones. Grigio Girls is probably one of her best produced songs that has so many layers, but I don't get the extreme hate for it, it's so beautiful lyrically and sonically.
