It’s controversial for her because a lot of POC have called her out for cultural appropriation. As a POC myself, I can understand where they are coming from.

If it was any other individual that got dragged for this id call it stupid SJW nonsense and moral superiority complex & wokeness going too far

But the fact that its her that this happened to makes me almost think she covered it on purpose to stir up some controversy given her history :rip:

I also get the backlash given the individual it is even if she didnt do it on purpose (tho it sucks for her if thats the case lol)

I’m sorry but this really is so funny :deadbanana: what are the odds lmao

She was actually supporting a Black owned business called 'Market Black' who created the outfit for her.

So now people are attacking her for supporting black businesses?

She really can't catch a break.

i'm "attacking" her team for being insensitive following her controversy but go off :billie: her hair stylist should have known better than to hide the brand like that

mother, what must i do?

Really upsets me how the public have completely turned on Jesy again.
a couple of years ago she was “brave” and “strong” for telling her story. Speaking about all of the bullying and how it made her feel.
Here we are back at square 1 again.

I obviously cannot say whether or not she is “Blackfishing” (Honestly, here in UK so many girls/women dress this way and enjoy the fake tan look) but is it necessary to jump down her throat every single time that something happens?!?

I could be wrong but i suspect it may be on purpose for controversy and publicity

They probably knew given her history this would get attention on social media and ppl talking (heck were talking about it on GGD) but that because its a word covered and she didnt actually write just "black" she couldnt actually be cancelled by most people and many might even defend her as an accident and that ppl are just being too woke etc so win-win for her (publicity by controversy with minimal actual damage to her image)

I could be wrong but thats my theory. I dont trust entertainment, so much is planned and scripted u just never really know whats spontaneous or accident and what was planned anymore :enigma:

honestly you're probably right :enigma: lets see what happens with her second single, managers and labels just want money and will happily use any drama against her to sell her music

Tbh i can see it now her team talking to her

"Cover the word market with your hair. Because of your past blackfisting controversy SJWs will jump at you on the internet and get social media talking about you. But most people wont actually hate you because it seems like a harmless accident since u actually had a whole logo written and you wont actually be cancelled. Most people will write it off as people on the internet being too woke. Then you can take down the photo and make yourself seem like the bigger person being mindful of senstitivities. Controversy attention without actual harm to your image in fact youll actually cleanse it a little. Win-win for you"

If im right the SJW woke twitter ppl got played in a publicity game and did exactly what her team wanted them to do :toofunny:

You clearly don't know much about her prior to the whole Boyz release.

She's been a MASSIVE mental health advocate and was seen in an incredible light before people got pressed she left Little Mix.

She was supporting a black owned business. Jesy has been vocal for the past 10 years about loving black culture, her friends are POC, her exes have been black, she was supporting the BLM movement before this controversy too.

It's pretty disgusting how people are trying to paint her a certain way when she's a really nice person who's helped a lot of people with their mental health, she's openly discussed her suicide attempts and undergoing therapy to seek help.

THIS.

I'm a POC and from the UK and i'm not offended by this at all, this is how most British Girls look with the fake tan. She's obviously white with a tan.

Yeah, obviously it was a mistake but it’s not the best look given the recent controversies. :rip:
