COVID, like other viruses, will never go away...like ever. But we live in a time of great scientific achievement and have proven vaccines that are safe and effective at controlling the effects of the virus. Sure, there may be strains that are more "macho" against the vaccines than others, but I don't that's any reason to be worried. I've been amazed at how quickly and effectively scientists have been able to tweak the vaccines that were rolled out early in 2021. It will be okay.

I see your point, but I disagree. In November 2021, in the USA at least, everyone ages 5 and up can now receive a vaccine at no cost to them. Boosters are widely available, too. The only people that are going to be impacted by this are the ones choosing to not get the vaccines.

Lockdowns are no longer necessary with the advent of safe and effective vaccines; unless you're one of those antivaxxers that believe otherwise. The time has come to stop penalizing people who did what they were asked to do through all of 2020 and into this year and start punishing people who are not vaccinated. Those of us are complied with the mandates last year are beginning to feel duped because now it's "not enough." We are being asked to carry the weight of the ignorant and ill-informed because they refuse to get a simple shot. I frankly won't stand for it, and so many others share the same sentiment.

My dad couldnt see his sister when she was dying of cancer overseas, he also missed her funeral

 

He finally went to Portugal to visist his family after the event including his ageing parents in their 80s who he doesnt wanna potentially miss too when things seemed to calm down a little (hes there now)

 

Ppl can have legitimate reasons to travel its not just oh i wanna go on that sunny vacation in that nice resort
