People are acting like he didn’t produce nfr which is 100% her most acclaimed album (and her best imo)

point is too much of something makes it mediocre

They might value their personal enjoyement over the acclaim, which is 100% valid. Jack has a specific approach to making songs (folksy guitars and predictible piano chords, no bridges etc) and not everybody seems to enjoy it. If that's the style you prefer, very great but for a fan that is only interested in the music and not music' perception, being critically acclaimed isn't enough.

**** the critical acclaim norman ****ing Rockwell has some of her best lyrics and melodies, yet blue banisters also has but a lot of BB was actually reworked older songs of hers, personally I don't think Jack antonoff means anything in this equation and it's way more what lana is vibing with personally cuz I list NFR as one of my top ten favorite albums of all time but Jack also did chemtrails and for me while I liked it, imo it's her weakest album, but that's what makes lana so great she keeps a very unique quality to her songs that no matter what album or who the producer is she has this instant recognizable sound but she plays on it, some sounding more folky some sound country some sound like 60s & 70s rock (like ultraviolence) so I love that about her especially when you consider born to die and paradise edition were her most poppy and mainstream sounding albums yet every album since beginning with ultraviolence she has distanced herself from that sound. Jack isn't what is making or breaking her sound she just likes subtlety changing her vibes with each new record and that's why there's the divide between fans on what album is their favorite. It's what you vibe with

It’s amazing how polarizing Jack’s production is with the highly acclaimed NFR and the underwhelming Chemtrails :selena: but I guess we’ll see with their third collaboration. Notice how the most acclaimed albums by the alt girls was when the production was more upbeat and “louder” (Melodrama, Norman ****ing Rockwell, Masseduction) so yea :gaycat:

Can't believe she's already working on her follow up.

She said in an interview that she always starts writing new material when the previous album is in mastering stage. Also, based on the quantity of music alone it's very obvious that: 1. she is a very artistic person, so she feels the need to create and 2. as she isn't a mainstream pop artist like Gaga or Beyonce, so she doesn't tour extensively and doesn't burn out, which allows her to write and record lots of music.
