This is a forum. Are we supposed to NOT comment on the objectively weird things he does that make it into the media? There is a general consensus about every single celebrity or media figure that is reported on. Kanye West is not the only person who gets **** on.

He was running a drug ring while "paying his debt to society". lol

But yeah, boo hoo, let's help that poor man. Him being in prison is a crime against humanity, and I'm sure he too was always very compassionate toward all the people he and his gang caused harm to.

Because our current prison system is broken. It isn't a place for reform or education like it is supposed to be; it is adult daycare. A business designed to maximize slave labor and recidivism to keep their numbers up. How do you expect that man to become a model citizen overnight just by moving him from society to a cement box with other people who have committed crimes?

Sending mostly BIPOC people to rot in cages and work until they die with no attempt to give them a second chance is absolutely a crime against humanity.

A little empathy goes a long way.

Thats highley debateable some people are way to "sick" to let back out into the world. Try telling a rape and murder victems parents or family that the criminal that did that shouldnt be locked away for the rest of their lives or killed in return.

Youve also got to empathise with the murdur victems family. Its not as simple as giving him a lesson in kindess and compassion then letting  him go sniff the daisies. He has ended another persons life that isnt a debt so easily repayed.

Kindness and compassion is a TWO-WAY street.

Gang leaders who commit murder and sell drugs are clearly in jail for A REASON and they can continue rotting there  

Prison reform comes in many ways - but this is definitely NOT IT

The prison system needs a massive overhaul to become more rehabilitative. There’s been great success in other countries with these programs. That along with ending the sentences of all who are wrongly imprisoned. There needs to be a road forward for people who make mistakes!
 

Then fixing the other systems in this country would prevent people from being picked up by the prison system to begin with. Some people are never given a fair shot. Our prison system should at the very least not be contributing to the unfairness of their lives.

He gets a lot of coverage and is one of the main figures in rap, of course there's more threads about him than say Flo Rida. Also he makes A LOT of sh*tty decisions, not  GGD's fault your fave is an unbearable narcissist.
