Of course, you're totally right. We might as well just stop talking about things that matter, celebrities too, because whether or not they say something doesn't really matter - especially because you can only exclusively support one cause and nothing else...by your 'logic' of course.

not what i meant. my point is we all care about different things. this is not one high up on my priority list. i just think its unfair to expect celebrities to prioritize every single social issue out there.

p.s. if you care thats fine. i just think your criticism is misplaced & you should find a better way to pursue the change in this aspect of inequality you find important.

While I fully agree with Billy on that matter, I believe his approach as a “leader” could be different. His first comment on the situation felt like he was coming for Harry (I know his problem isn’t Harry himself) but a more KindnessPunk reaction would be better in that case.

Let’s not act like his points are not valid tho, cause that’s ridiculous.

RIP SOPHIE 🤍

Cancel culture has gone way too far, and some people have forgotton how to utilize critical thinking and self-thought.
No one is perfect. We all make mistakes. Billy is absolutely right; it was not about Harry. AND Harry is far from a leader in terms of queer conversation and culture. Nothing wrong was said here.

L M A O he still admits he thinks *he* should have been on the cover. This is one huge, drawn out ego trip on behalf of Billy Porter and no one else.

He's really the voice that the LGBTQ+ community needs. :enigma:

If he's queer, who says he has to be a voice though? It's not every queer celebrity's job to be a voice of the community. Some would much rather just live their lives and that's perfectly fine. Not every member of the community who's got a spotlight on them has to be an activist. That's a lot to ask of someone.

The Fame Monster

I might not be educated enough to say my opinion on this, but just like Billy, I am very passionate about genderless and non-binary fashion, and I also want the fashion industry to move forward and stop labelling clothes as men or women's clothes.

To me, the Harry Styles cover is very much him just being himself. This is his style and fashion. If he can't be a role model to the gays (which he can) then at least he's showing to the straights that they can also expand the way they can dress. That's very important as well.

As long as someone who dresses in a genderless way, regardless of their sexual identity, has the opportunity, like being on the cover of Vogue, to be themselves and show that fashion has no rules and labels, we will move forward and become more accepting towards non-binary fashion.

Is he really a leader of the "movement" on gender? I feel like we've been talking about gender norms and non-binary/trans issues for a lot longer than I've been aware of him.
