Gaga playing Britney in a biopic

Gaga is simply too old for this role. You'd want an actor that is close to their teens.

You are losing the point, this is not a decision made by her ego, it would be born out of her challenge and passion for going deeper into the challenge of being an actress and explore such difficult role that would hit hard home, her being a singer with similar struggles. 

I think Gaga likes to challenge herself and it's in constant evolution both as an artist and as a person and this role would involve both and take her inner demons and healing from trauma to the next level.

Also it would be so honest for her to play Britney since she can relate. Instead of an eye candy actress that was choosen just because she is an it good looking girl.

Claiming "Playing Britney" is "beneath" Gaga is really toxic and not very productive imo. It's just not a good fit. I do think she'd be a great Winehouse though.

They should give it to an up and coming pop star, and I hope they won’t make it now. Maybe years down the line. With Britney’s approval of course.

For Gaga's next role I would like if she did something that's not related to fame. Her two roles so far are directly related to fame, so I think it would be challenging for her as an actress to play a role where she can't rely on her experience as a superstar.

Though I woul LOVE to see Gaga as Amy, I don't think it's happening.

I don't think that this would be a good fit, not only because Gaga wouldn't pass as a teenager anymore, but because their stories and experiences are too much alike. I also think that to the GP their stardom is also too similar, so that the illusion wouldn't really work.

If Gaga should ever play another musician in a biopic, I'd prefer her to play Amy, because they look pretty much alike and come from different genres (if we look at the ones they are the most popular for).
Gaga could also do Amys vocals really well, because of her own jazz background, and it also wouldn't seem to copied, as it would if Gaga sing Britneys hits, as they both are two of the biggest popstars of the past 20 years.

If they really do a Britney biopic in the near future, I hope that Britney will be involved a lot so that they really portrait her story. Otherwise it wouldn't feel right to do something like this, especially that short after all of that happend.

An actress and musician that might fit well could be Olivia Rodrigo I think. She isn't as big as Gaga and Britney (yet), is still at the beginning of her career and obviously young enough to portrait a teenager, because she still is one herself, and I also think that they could really make them look alike.

Nop! + when that other biopic was released a few years ago, Britney (or should I say the person running her Insta) said she is against it.

Even without that, the actress would have to look like Britney a bit right? Gaga and Britney look totally different

I didn't really think about that, honestly.
If it'd be about the recent drama, the age thing wouldn't make sense that's right.

I just had a biopic as a career focused thing in mind, and she started as a teen. Also she had her last big hit like 10 years ago, so I thought that a big part would have to focus on the 90s and 00s.
