Gaga is one of those people who are not that literal I believe. She sometimes "overdoes or exaggerates" it. My sister is like that too. When she tells a story, she doesn't exactly tell it like it was; she always puts some spin on it to make it more exciting, funny or interesting. It's not lying, but rather "embroidering" the story. The good thing is: Everybody who knows her, knows this.

I once had a fight with her over this, because I once saw a man in our village that had a beautiful dog that I found so gorgeous that I had told my sister about. Then one day, we met the man with his dog and got into talking with him and my sister told the man that I wouldn't shut up and talked all day about how beautiful his dog was and that I'd get on her nerves over this etc. ( I just told her once about the dog and that was it)

Of course this was absolutely exaggerated and my sister knew this, I knew it because I know her, but since the man didn't know my sister, he couldn't know that she tends to exaggerate and embellish stories like that. So I felt like a complete creep and we had a fight over it and at the end my sister apologized.

Its such a southern european thing to do. My fam does the same sh*t

 

I dont mind stories a little spiced once in a while to make them more interesting and not so dull (even I do that)

 

But sometimes its too much. It can be harmful at times too if ur not careful. For example when ur exagerating what someone did, the person listening doesnt know just to what extent ur exagerating and next thing u know ur perception of that person changed

Yeah, I mean everybody does this to some extent. Even I do of course, but my sister is a pro at exaggerating. lol And sometimes when we're with people who don't know her so well yet and she does this, I'll be like:

Theres times its funny but then theres times it irritates me...

 

More so especially when it puts someone in a bad light and the exageration can be harmful to someones reputation
