Because of the backlash and lawsuits not because he cares lol. He could have said this on Saturday, it's now Monday. And what about the medical bills for the countless people injured?

I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't even follow through with this.

I was gonna say regardless of whether he cares for real or not he has to do something like this

I remember when i first read about the incident i was thinking hed try to do something for the victims of the family to try and reduce the ire of cancel culture

Im not saying he doesnt care for real tho. Im saying celebs for the sake of image gotta do some things even if they dont actually care that deeply so u can never really know

Him and his wife are so rich that even a multi million dollar settlement means nothing to them. So sad how the uber rich cannot be held accountable.

It’s not out of pocket. There are videos and amples of stories surfaced dating back to 2017 showing just a complete shitty person he is.

At the same time, always looking to the past to judge the present prohibits growth. You can't live in a progressive society that isn't problematic if you do not allow for mistakes to happen and for people to take accountability for it. Just my two cents. I've seen some of what you're referring to.

When the past repeats itself as a consistent pattern, it’s not just “the past”, it’s also the present :huntyga:

“a few mistakes” that happen consistently aren’t mistakes. If he changes his behavior and crowd handling from here on then we can talk, when all this becomes “the past”

So you guys wanted him to cover the costs… and now that’s he doing it, is not enough for y’all?

It isn't enough. Again, what about the hundreds of people injured. He should be paying all their medical bills not just funeral costs for the dead. He's ignoring all those hundreds of innocent people because this is "enough" for his PR.

He should be covering the medical costs of the 300+ people who were injured as well.

As for his partnership with BetterHelp... YIKES :awkney:

Exactly

What does that have to do with him causing hundreds of people traumatic injuries and completely ignoring them?

I normally would agree with the people who say not to say anything bad until after it passes, because generally I feel like it is a safe assumption to make for the people of this site to not be aware of rap/hip hop past headlines since the majority of people are not into it.

But the security at his concerts has always been less than desirable and I know a few people who went to his concert a couple years ago and had trouble as well. One of them passed out because there wasn't any crowd control and the crowd gets pretty violent with little regard for each other. Like a mosh pit, but not even a controlled mosh pit like at rock / metal shows are where people are respectful of each other.

It's like the people there suddenly have no self control and it brings out the worst in them? Some of my friends deep into rap swear they will never attend a Travis Scott concert because of how dangerous they are viewed. I can understand "Well he didn't know" if this was a first time thing, that happened in the crowd, but that's not really the case here - both in general, and in this particular incident..

The artist expecting to know exactly why something is happening in their show in the crowd seems a little unreasonable. But this is something known from people for quite a while and things should have changed. This is unfortunately a deadly consequence for it not. Such a shame that peoples' lives were lost due to negligence.

A few people say he noticed the ambulance and even made a really off putting remark about it before continuing his set.

He is trying to make up for what happened and Im feeling so bad for him. Nothing he does will ever clear his conscious. Its easy for people to get at his neck over the situation, Im not gonna speak negatively about him anymore. I wish he can find some peace because RN the world is making so much crap about him I really do feel bad. People are taking it really far.

This is a moment that will change his future forever. The best that he can do is grow from this experience and to take more precautions when performing at events. I deff know he's gonna do some charity concert like Ariana did in Manchester. I don't want to make assumptions of his character cause I don’t personally know him but I know that he is human and the amount of hate that he is getting most people will never get over it.

Repeating mistakes. Only sorry now he’s called out.

Thank you, finally, a mature person that understands reality on this site.

Tell that to the victims families.

This isn’t about him or his feeling. Children were dead!

Guys, it's fine if you kill other people, as long as you pay for their funerals!

Some of these replies are examples how harmful it is when you got way too the left :chica:

Imagine trying to appease this person just because they paid for their funerals and thinking that's enough repercussions, when he and everyone else involve with making this event still need to be investigated and brought to court. Money are easy for these people, but the family members who lost their person need closure and answers. Some of you are going to be a terrible parents for not knowing right from wrong, I fear. :bradley:

Travis is also going to be partnering with BetterHelp, a network of mental health professionals, to offer mental health services, for free, to anyone who attended Astroworld Fest who may need to talk through their trauma.

The irony.
