I think Gaga doesn't have the range for Elphaba, correct me if I'm wrong and Elphaba's songs are very high, soprano high.

Elphaba is a belter, not a soprano and Gaga’s voice is perfectly suited to sing that role.

Here for Cynthia. Ariana is a question mark because I've never seen her act much, but what I've seen has been bad. I really wanted Gaga as Elphaba and Anna Kendrick as Galinda. Oddly, I assumed that was impossible because they would want to cast younger. But, I guess not.

It is, a big instrument but its not very different from ariannas.. just used more efficently. She has a high fach with a masked kind of sound.
