I don't care that it's not a single, but I wish she'd perform "Summerboy" live other than Lollapalooza 2007. It's a banger.

Boys Boys Boys was too similar to the Sabrina song and would've had some criticism

Should've been Money Honey and Starstruck instead

Money Honey is literally the same as Just Dance and PokerFace, she would have gotten dragged as a one trick pony

please enlighten me to death

Summerboy is one of the songs on The Fame that I really enjoy, apart from Poker Face, LoveGame and Beautiful, Dirty Rich. Boys, Boys Boys has really nice production and a catchy chorus, but would probably be a poor single choice.

No tbh because The Fame singles were on a diff level, I do think a fifth single would have been successful regardless cause she was at a high but impact wise it wouldn’t have been the same. Eh Eh was a single in some countries but is easily forgettable and didn’t have the same longevity as the others. If I had to pick a fifth single it would have been the title track or Brown Eyes to signal the end of the era. On the other hand The Fame Monster had Dance In The Dark which I genuinely believe is on the same caliber as the prior 3 singles.

Boys Boys Boys as the 3rd single (Eh Eh as promotional or country-exclusive single)

And Paper Gangsta as the final single of the era.

Could have been awesome, but idk how things could have gone if this actually happened, I mean for the direction of The Fame Monster.

Blown Away

I think she did the right thing with stopping after Paparazzi. Both LoveGame and Paparazzi were structurally and melodically very different from the first two singles.

The middle (Beautiful, Dirty, Rich to Paper Gangsta) of the album emulated the structure and production of Poker Face and Just Dance a little too much, while Boys Boys Boys is just plain basic and trite. Could've easily been an Esmée Denters reject.

Brown Eyes, I Like It Rough and Summerboy aren't strong enough to stand out as a single, despite being bops. Well, the latter two at least.

Starstruck had major potential though, as it almost charted as an album cut in the US. Not sure if it would've charted well worldwide.

Spoiler

For The Fame Monster she chose the right songs as well. From Born This Way on the ability to choose the right singles (at the right time) was lost.

They did the right thing with choosing BTW as the lead and releasing the next single only 8 weeks later. But it had to be The Edge Of Glory, followed by Marry The Night in July and Hair in October. End the era with You And I for the Angelophone countries, Scheiße in Europe and Heavy Metal Lover as the final sixth single and I believe the era would've been a bigger success.

They shipped it, but it got shipped back
