Announcing the close of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite

Tune in as Harry and Hermione put an end to the Calamity before Harry Potter: Wizards Unite officially closes on January 31, 2022

Witches and wizards,

Today we’re announcing that Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will officially close on January 31, 2022. The game will be removed from the App Store, Google Play and Galaxy Store on December 6, 2021, and players will no longer be able to make in-game purchases as of December 6, 2021.

When we launched Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, our vision was to allow players to experience the wizarding world right in their real-world surroundings as they stepped outside and explored their neighborhoods. Over the years, millions of witches and wizards around the globe have embarked on real-world adventures, coming together to keep magic hidden safe within the wizarding world while joining forces to take on The Unforgivable. During this time, players have also worked alongside Hermione and Harry as part of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force to unravel the mystery behind the disappearance of the London Five and are now on the verge of putting an end to the Calamity.

It has barely lasted two years. Transphobe JK Rowling has destroyed her franchise

The hype for this game was real, but it ended up being such a snooze fest :partysick: I'm excited for Hogwarts Legacy though, that one looks incredible!

What was a bigger flop, this game of Pottermore? You can't choose both

Its just the game that is meh. If there was a new movie or even when Hogwarts Legacy will be released you'll see this franchise is not even near destroyed.

Word I Agree GIF by INTO ACTION

It's an honor.

Grindelwald earned $200 million less than its predecessor (OK it still earned $600mil but it earned 20% less than the first one) and was universally panned. Now Johnny is gone I dont see much joy for the third film

Pottermore was juicy content until she started writing about how wizards didn't use toilets.

This game by far! Pottermore was exciting and had a ton of new content. I loved reading her old background notes about characters and the history of the wizarding world. I honestly wish she had saved that stuff and made new books/movies out of THAT, instead of where she's gone with Fartastic Beasts :partysick:

The fact that we could've gotten a Wizarding War movie series with the original Order of the Phoenix trying to take down young Voldemort and instead we got a magical zookeeper and his boring American friends :messga:

You're damn right. They went downhill after Azkaban (this one was the best IMO)
