An ARTIST writes WHAT they want WHEN they want... It's a snapshot of their life!

Gaga wanted to write a DIARY about her journey through MENTAL ILLNESS. That's her prerogative. Take it or leave it. 🙄

She felt hopeless when she wrote 911, etc. Why sugarcoat the truth?? That would be a cop out!

Should she have waited until 2022 to release a "HAPPIER" version of Chromatica? She's not your plastic doll!

@GagaUnderYou No, Gaga NEVER said she wasn't happy with the album. On the contrary. It's her true story.

She said she wanted to share her journey to help erase the stigma of mental illness. Her music is out there... For all we know she helped save a few lives.

Remember: It's her music. Her life. Her choice.

You, too, have a CHOICE. Don't listen to her sad music. Fair enough? 🙂

Its my choice to feel a certain way as well. I am not attacking her or her work.

The album is a piece of art. Enjoy it. She doesn’t need to revisit the album. If you want to revisit the album play and buy it. Her art is bigger then just one album. She’s an artist. She can do whatever she wants. We are grateful she gave us Chromatica. Let her be.  Play the album and enjoy it.

I agree. The 911 MUSIC VIDEO was a difficult shoot for her.

Gaga broke down during the shoot and the director was afraid she wouldn't be able to finish it.

For the final scene, he shot her closeups first then let her go. He did the wide shots with a body double.

My guess is she was triggered... She had to RELIVE the whole thing. "I don't wanna die."

(Her "character" died in the alternate ending.) 😢

Huh I've never heard of this, source?

Do you feel him sir?

I hope she enjoys TCB (if it goes ahead), I wouldn’t mind if she cancelled it actually.  She can always throw in a few tracks to a revamped Enigma Vegas show.

I absolutely understand the feeling that it hurts her, and it makes me sad. But, what saddened me more yesterday once I read the interview is that in almost two years, any word came from her mouth about how she was feeling about Chromatica. I think these words would have been better last year in the middle of the era, when we were all meltdowning about the draught and the era being a mess. All the Little Monsters would have accepted it and stayed by her side.

Now, I see Chromatica a little bit more of another's project than her and I feel like she never wanted to release an album so personal.

Not trying to be rude or something but, I remember when she distanced herself from social media and everything after ARTPOP album got released, she made an statement talking about how she was feeling and what was happening with the era. But all we got with Chromatica was completely silence. I feel sad about how she is losing connection with us since 2013.

With that being said, I wish she could recover from the trauma and everything that happened to her during the time she was making and creating Chromatica. Hopefully, someday she may look back at it and feel better :kara:

I think she didn't mean that she will never perform those songs. She just said it was dark period for her and we all know it, cause it's very clearly when you look at the lyrics.

For me, it's ok if she won't though. We have an amazing album and I really appreciate that she had enough courage to release it.

Anyway this interview is about HOG not about chromatica. And even if there won't be chromatica ball, I'm sure we will see her performing some of Chromatica songs on her future tours, for new records.

It all makes sense. She seems so much happier in the recent jazz shows.

YES, she is glowing and outgoing. Cracks jokes and laughs with the audience and she sounds amazing. I just want her to keep doing what she loves, her fans will follow.

It's not really an edgy take considering that she's had this same narrative about her albums since TFM. She always says she was in her lowest spot making the album.

She said alot of this is in the Beats1 interview just before chromatica was released right? I can imagine having to keep repeating how she felt making the record is mentally exhausting and brings back negative memories.

Sometimes the only way is up and I think she is definitely on that path again.

Maybe having TCB delayed might be a good thing afterall, so she can celebrate chromatica in a different state of mind.

Whew @Sunny21 coming in with the HOT tea 🫖

Some people coming in with nasty, selfish and immature comments but it’s not that surprising at this point. It really was a good thing Gaga put some distance between her and her fans.

But it’s nice to see that the majority of comments here have been emphatic and have more emotional intelligence than that of a petulant preteen.

I wish more of the community was as music driven. I think the jokes about it can be a funny sometimes, but to be bothered for performances and promotion and marketing for it was never something that I really understood.
